It can be determined whether there is a problem by monitoring the temperature of the deep groove ball bearing during operation. Temperature monitoring of deep groove ball bearings is one of the important means to ensure the normal operation of equipment and prevent faults from occurring.
During normal operation, the temperature of the bearing will gradually increase with the increase of operating time and reach a stable state after a period of time. This temperature change is closely related to factors such as the heat capacity, heat dissipation efficiency, speed, and load conditions of the machine. Therefore, by monitoring the temperature of the bearing, the working status and performance of the bearing can be indirectly understood.
When the temperature of the bearing rises abnormally, it may be caused by various reasons, such as poor lubrication, overload operation, bearing damage, insufficient clearance, or high friction generated by oil seals. These abnormal situations can all cause to bearing overheating, thereby affecting its service life and overall performance of the equipment.
To accurately determine whether there is a problem with the bearing, the following measures can be taken:
Direct measurement: Using a dedicated thermometer (such as SKF digital thermometer) to directly measure the bearing temperature is the most direct and accurate method.
Indirect inference: When direct measurement is not possible, the bearing temperature can be indirectly inferred by measuring the temperature outside the bearing chamber. However, it should be noted that this method may have certain errors.
Comprehensive judgment: In addition to considering the absolute temperature value, it is also necessary to comprehensively judge the temperature difference between the bearing and surrounding components, as well as the temperature distribution of the bearing itself. If the temperature of the bearing rises abnormally and there is a significant temperature difference with other components, or if the temperature distribution inside the bearing is uneven, it may be a sign of abnormal conditions.
Once an abnormal increase in bearing temperature is detected, the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection and corresponding measures should be taken to prevent the fault from escalating. Possible measures include replacing lubricating oil, cleaning the cooling system, replacing bearings, or adjusting equipment loads.
